Biosorption of Colour, Copper and Zinc in Textile Wastewater using Carbonized Orange Peels

Recently, low-cost adsorbents from sustainable sources are required for the remediation of textile wastewater. Carbonized Orange Peels (COPs) was utilized in remediating colour, Zinc and Copper The initial final pH, colour trace metals’ composition wastewater used were determined adsorption processes. Batch experiment carried out on COPs wastewater’s mixture to find effects COP’s dosage, agitation, pH contact time Copper’s removal isotherms kinetic studies conducted using Langmuir, Freundlich, Pseudo-first-order Pseudo-second-order models. Findings established that optimum respectively occurred at an adsorbent dosage 2.5, 0.5 3.0 g/100ml, 10, 4 2, rotating speed 100, 250 rpm, 40, 60, 40 mins. revealed only copper as well fitted Langmuir isotherm. model best suited data metal ions with high correlation coefficient (R2) exceeding 0.95. Conclusively, is effective zinc wastewater, thus, recommended suitable treatment
